The wildest 5K in town will be held Saturday, May 14 at 8 a.m. Runners and walkers will get to see the Zoo wake up during the 23rd annual Throo the Zoo 5K Run/Walk, presented by Norton Audubon Hospital and McDonald’s® Restaurants of Kentuckiana. Proceeds benefit the Louisville Zoo, which is dedicated to its mission of bettering the bond between people and our planet. Find Out More

Louisville Zoo Announces Free Flight Bird Show

Beautiful birds such as an Andean condor, double wattled cassowary, singing parrot, African crowned crane, bateleur eagle and others will make their way to the Louisville Zoo this summer. Starting May 21, these impressive birds will fly, sing and delight Zoo guests in the new “Wings of the World” Bird Show presented by Ford Motor Company. Find Out More

The Louisville Zoo will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 16 with a news conference announcing winners of the 4th annual Trashformation art contest. The day will also feature $8.25 general admission and activities to celebrate sustainability. Patrons can learn more about the Zoo’s conservation efforts and visit dozens of “eco-themed” exhibitors. he Louisville Zoo invites students in grades pre-K—12 to get involved with the fourth annual Trashformation: A Trash-to-Treasure Art Contest for Students.
