The Louisville Zoo adult (12–59) general admission will be reduced to $9.95 and $6.95 for children  (ages 3–11) and seniors (60+) starting Nov. 1, 2015 through Feb. 29, 2016.

The Louisville Zoo is proud to team up with Kroger to help Dare to Care again support families in our community with a winter food drive during the Zoo’s Wild Winter Days presented by Kroger Nov. 1 through Feb. 29.  Guests who bring at least one canned food item per person to benefit Dare to Care or who show their Kroger Plus card will receive $1 off winter adult or child’s admission. If guests do both — bring a canned good and show their Kroger Plus card — they will also receive a voucher for a free carousel ride redeemable March 12 – September 25, 2016. Please note that the carousel is closed for the winter and will reopen weather permitting March 12, 2016. One ticket per Kroger Plus card. Not good with any other offers.

To date, the Zoo has collected nearly 25,000 pounds of food thanks to the generosity of its guests. That is the weight of two African elephants like Mikki.

The offer is not valid  for Santa’s Safari, other special fee-based programs, prepaid groups, field trips or with other discounts.

Some of Dare to Care Food Bank’s most needed items are canned meats, which includes tuna, canned fruit, beans, peanut butter, soup, rice, cereal, fruit juice, pasta and canned vegetables. Please avoid glass containers. More details are available at www.louisvillezoo.org/wildwinterdays/

The Zoo is open daily year round. Fall/winter hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (exit by 5 p.m.) and continue through March 11, 2016. The Zoo is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. For more information, visit LouisvilleZoo.org.
