Back by popular demand, the butterflies have made their return to the Louisville Zoo — the Butterflies n’ Blooms exhibit has opened and runs through Sept. 22. This temporary exhibit is free with Zoo admission or membership. Find Out More

Zoo Celebrates 50th Anniversary with 50Fest Party

To celebrate turning 50 this year the Zoo is throwing a party! 50Fest is May 18-19 at the Zoo.The Zoo’s two newest mascots — Leroy the rhino, in honor of one of the Zoo’s first rhinos named Leroy, and Miles the giraffe — will be on hand along with other animal mascots. Find Out More

Party for the Planet: A Month-Long Celebration of the Earth

The Louisville Zoo is throwing its annual bash for the Earth — Party for the Planet: A Month-Long Celebration of the Earth, powered by the LG&E and KU Foundation. The month of April will feature special activities including zoo keeper presentations, a regional art contest for students, $8.25 admission on April 28 and conservation-minded events every weekend.
