Louisville Zoo Welcomes Two Warthogs

Meet Digger and Riggs — two new warthogs that are the newest additions to the Louisville Zoo.

These two one-year-old males like to hang out near the edge of the warthog exhibit near guests and are already gaining fans although they’ve only been on exhibit a few days. Digger and Riggs were born at the Erie Zoo in Pennsylvania. Find Out More

There’s a new cat in town for the new year! “Becca,” a two-year-old female puma, comes to the Louisville Zoo from the Central Florida Zoo. Becca was rescued at three months old by the Washington State Wildlife Commission after being separated from her mother. Find Out More

Zoo Hosts Job Fair and Animal Birthdays

The Louisville Zoo will host a job fair on January 7 in the Zoo’s Gheens Room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Zoo is seeking candidates to fill seasonal positions in various departments. Free with admission, the Zoo will also celebrate two animal birthdays on January 7. Gorilla Helen’s 59th Birthday will be held at 11 a.m. at Gorilla Forest and polar bear Qannik’s 6th birthday will be held at noon at Glacier Run. Find Out More
