FAQ
The Passmate app is designed by PassMate to allow you to take our map on the go. Since the Zoo has moved away from physical maps to better align with our conservation message, this app provides you additional opportunities to explore the Zoo.
The app also offers information about dining locations, animal information, keeper talk times, event information and add-on experience links.
The Passmate app is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
The app is FREE to download and use. There are no in-app purchases, however, there are links that lead to the Zoo’s website where you can purchase tickets to events, memberships, ADOPTS packages, etc.
No – at this time, you must purchase tickets on the website or at the admissions window.
PassMate currently does not collect guest personal information (names, emails, phone numbers, etc.). Some features that may be added in the future may require minimal collection of information for data recovery purposes. If data is collected in the future, you will be required to opt in/out in the app.
Location services are not required to use the app.
No – you do not need to create an account or sign in to use the map. Simply download the app, open and view.
Internet is required for the initial download and opening of the app. The app caches information and photos once loaded, so Internet is not necessary to view. We encourage you to download the app on the Front Plaza to avoid issues with downloading in dead zones within the Zoo.
Pinch / zoom to navigate around the map on their phones. Use the toggles on the top of the screen to turn on / off areas throughout the Zoo (habitats, restrooms, dining, sensory-friendly areas, etc.) When icons are toggled on, click on different markers to get more information about the habitat or restaurant including keeper talk times, animal FAQ, menus, etc. Click the tab at the bottom to view upcoming events and add-ons for your trip including memberships, ADOPTS and Backstage Pass Tours.
