The Louisville Zoo is hosting an egg hunt for children ages 12 and under Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is free with Zoo admission or Louisville Zoo membership.
Space for egg hunts is limited and open on a first-come, first-served basis. Most events take place at the Metazoo hillside. As part of the Zoo’s conservation mission, families must bring their own egg hunt basket or reusable bag. For the health and wellbeing of zoo animals, candy will not be placed inside the eggs. Participants will turn in the collected eggs and receive a treat bag from the prize booth at the end of each egg hunt. Every treat bag is equal no matter the quantity of eggs collected.
Each egg hunt features two golden eggs. A special treat will be awarded to the participants who find these gilded eggs.
There is a separate egg hunt area for ages 4 and under and an eggcellent photo opportunity for families. This area is open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and families can come and go as they please. No prizes are awarded in this area.
Enjoy additional games throughout the day like bunny ring toss, and balancing egg relay game. Zoo docents will also have animals and bio-facts for a hands-on experience.
Don’t miss a meet and greet opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Get your photo in the ZooVision building from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (Bunny will take breaks throughout the day). Be sure to bring your camera!
