The Louisville Zoo offers a wide variety of programs for people of all ages. Kids as well as adults will enjoy these wildlife adventures that truly make learning fun! These programs require advance registration.
Louisville Zoo Night Safari programs offer the intimate experience of having the Zoo and our education team to yourselves for what will certainly prove to be an exciting night to remember.

Docents (volunteer teachers) assist the Louisville Zoo Education Department in teaching classes to school groups, sharing information with Zoo visitors, reaching out to our community through outreach programs.
A Backyard Action Hero (BAH) is a kid who is really into wildlife and habitats and is ready to take action to help protect them. A BAH cares about the animals and plants in his/her own backyard and in other parts of the world! Each year, the Louisville Zoo produces a colorful and fascinating guidebook to help kids became true Backyard Action Heroes. This 2016-2017 BAH guidebook features City Ecosystems and is presented by Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc.
