Today Ms. Diane filled in for Ms. Wanda during class and the students discussed producers and consumers. After an early lunch, the students took a long zoo walk and got to see the petting zoo, giraffes, and lions. Today their group also stopped by the commissary kitchen to see where we prepare food for our animals.

Today Ms. Kathleen’s group ventured to Glacier Run where they saw a chinchilla and gecko in class. They also were able to attend three training demos: bears, tigers, and sea lions.  The students were introduced to the concept of “biomimicry” and started brainstorming about how they can create an invention to help solve problems in their own lives.
