Louisville Zoo Costume Contest for “World’s Largest Halloween Party!”

The Louisville Zoo is hosting a costume contest for the final nights of its “World’s Largest Halloween Party!” presented by Meijer – Oct. 23-26 and Oct. 30. Winners will receive a behind-the-scenes tour with the newest addition – the baby hippo!

Guests to the Party during the final event dates will be invited to submit their photos on the Zoo’s Instagram page @louisvillezooofficial with the tag of #louisvillezoohalloweencostume.  There will be one winner in each of three categories: Most Creative, Most Zoo-like and Best Family Theme (all family members in costume). Photos must be taken with the Zoo’s Big Blue-eyed Darner (dragonfly) near the plaza and received on the Zoo’s Instagram account and tagged accordingly from Oct. 23-Oct. 31 to be considered in the contest.

The Louisville Zoo closes early for daytime visitors on evenings when the Halloween Party occurs:  October 23-26 & 30. Gates close at 3 p.m. (stay until 4 p.m.). Halloween Party starts at 5 p.m.

The “World’s Largest Halloween Party!” presented by Meijer will NOT take place Oct. 31.
