The Louisville Zoo’s is home to three lions in the Africa Zone: Siyanda, Sunny and Amali.

African Lions

Siyanda

Siyanda was born on March 30, 2015 at the Fort Worth Zoo. He arrived in Louisville on May 2, 2018.

Sunny

Female, Savannah (Sunny) was born at the Seneca Park Zoo on March 7, 2013. After moving to the Milwaukee Zoo on January 1, 2015, she arrived at the Louisville Zoo on January 10, 2020.

Amali

Amali is a female lion, born at the Bronx Zoo on March 6, 2013. She has lived at Seneca Park and the Milwaukee Zoo. She was donated to the Louisville Zoo and arrived on January 10, 2020.
