This area includes a new sculpture garden, patio and outdoor safari dining area. The sculpture garden features three large bronze lion sculptures, as well as a shady spot to relax and watch the endangered Hartman’s Mountain Zebra.
A redesigned outdoor dining patio provides guests an expanded deck to enjoy with a new large, round thatched roof shade structure over table seating. This new deck offers a unique view of the Colobus Crossing exhibit — home to four playful colobus monkeys and three Schmidt’s red-tailed monkeys. This exhibit supports conservation efforts for these animals and will also delight zoo-goers for generations to come.
This expansion was made possible through the supporters of our Leadership Capital Campaign.
