Zoofari FAQ

What to wear? Zoofari 2025 is black-tie optional, meaning an evening gown, suit or tuxedo. You can take a look at our pinterest page for some ideas.

What shoes should I wear? Guests are encouraged to wear flats, loafers, sandals, or wedges with their black-tie optional attire. Please check our pinterest page.

Is there an age requirement? All guests attending Zoofari hosted by Friends of the Louisville Zoo must be age 21 and older.

What is the Zoofari schedule? The event begins at 6 p.m. for full ticket and VIP guests. Those with Mix & Mingle tickets are invited to join us at 8:30 p.m. The event ends at 11 p.m.

Are there refunds? All sales are final and nonrefundable. Zoofari is an outdoor event that will take place rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to please plan accordingly.  Guests may transfer their ticket to another person and should contact the Friends of the Louisville Zoo at FriendsoftheLouisvilleZoo@gmail.com

What happens if it rains? Zoofari is an outdoor event that will take place rain or shine. While the full program and Mix and Mingle event components will be under cover in tents, transportation to and from will be on golf carts.   Guests are encouraged to please plan accordingly.

Where do I park? Complimentary valet parking will be offered to all guests.

What is the entertainment? Live music will be provided by Best Kept Secret following the dinner program. Other entertainment to be announced.

Is this an all-inclusive ticket or will there be a cash bar? Complimentary drinks and food items are included with each event ticket.

I would like to purchase a table. How many seats are available? Each table seats eight guests.

Who do I contact to discuss dietary restrictions or preferences? Please contact Louisville Zoo staff.

I am interested in being a food partner or sponsoring the event. Who should I contact?  Please contact the event host FriendsoftheLouisvilleZoo@gmail.com.

Auction FAQ

Will you have an auction? Yes, there is a both a silent and a live auction at the event. The silent auction will be made available online and bidders do not have to attend Zoofari to participate. Please check back for more details.

When is the live auction? The live auction takes place during dinner the night of the event. Mix & Mingle guests will not have the opportunity to participate in the live auction, however the silent auction and bourbon pull are available to all guests.

How do I donate to the auction? You can contact event coordinators to discuss a donation. Friends of the Louisville Zoo is seeking unique items, experiences, vacation homes, chef experiences, gift certificates, etc. Please email FriendsOfTheLouisvilleZoo@gmail.com
