Thank you for your application to the Zoo Kids, Inc. program. This message serves as confirmation that your on-line application has been submitted. You will also receive an emailed copy of your completed application for your files. All applicants will be informed of their funding status on or by August 28, 2023.

What happens now that your application is submitted?

• Your application will be reviewed to determine eligibility.
• Please note that depending on the volume of applications received, funds may not be available to make awards to all eligible applicants and/or partial funding may be given.
• You will receive an email notification on August 28, 2023 detailing whether or not you received funding this academic year. 
• If a grant is offered, you will be sent a link to the reservation form in early January and have until September 30, 2023 to reserve your field trip. If no response is received by the deadline, funds will be reallocated.

ZKI field trips occur on the date selected whether rain or shine, unless inclement weather has cancelled school or other arrangements have been approved in advance. 

Zoo Kids, Inc. and the Louisville Zoo strive to make this program accessible to all schools/organizations within Kentuckiana. However, there are many elements that go into allotting support. Please note that applicants who have never been funded by Zoo Kids, Inc. will be considered first. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive a grant even if your school/group has received one in the past. Zoo Kids, Inc. may also offer partial funding depending on the volume of requests and funds available.
