Louisville Zoo Offers Special Discount for Guests Affected by Thunder Over Louisville Cancellation

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 11, 2025) – The Louisville Zoo is extending a warm welcome to Derby fans with a special offer to provide more opportunities for fun with Thunder Over Louisville canceled after recent flooding at the waterfront. Guests who show their 2025 Kentucky Derby Pegasus Pin at Louisville Zoo ticket windows will receive $3.00 off general admission during regular Zoo hours. Additionally, those with pins will enjoy 10 percent off all concessions on the day of their visit.

This limited-time discount offers guests the perfect occasion to explore the wonders of the Louisville Zoo, where they can encounter beloved animals such as red pandas Sundara and Gansu, polar bears Qannik and Bo, and koala Dharuk — each showcasing their own unique charm and unforgettable presence. Louisville Zoo Director Dan Maloney added, “We hope the thunderous roars of our majestic lions and the singing of our playful siamangs helps to fill the hearts of those missing the booms of fireworks!”

This discount does not include parking and must be redeemed in person at the Louisville Zoo. This special offer runs from today through May 5, 2025, giving visitors plenty of time to plan their adventure and explore the Zoo’s fascinating wildlife.
