When is ROARchestra?
ROARchestra will be presented on Saturday night, July 6. The concert is expected to start at 8:30 p.m. After regular daily hours end, the Louisville Zoo will re-open at 7 p.m. for ticket buyers.
Is ROARchestra a family-friendly event?
ROARchestra is concert for everyone to enjoy! It is ideal for a family outing, night out with friends or as a special date night.
What can we expect from the concert?
The Louisville Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Teddy Abrams, will present a vibrant mix of classical and contemporary pieces. Guest vocalists will include Grammy Award-winning vocalist Jason Clayborn and local recording artist Daria Raymore.
When will the concert end?
The run time of the concert is subject to many factors. The anticipated time is between 60 and 90 minutes.
Can we bring food, drinks or alcohol?
Guests can bring food and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol may not be brought into the Louisville Zoo. Food and beverages will also be available for sale in the concert area. Note: anyone attempting to bring in alcohol will be barred from entry.
Can I see the animals?
The Louisville Zoo will re-open at 7 p.m. following regular daily hours. ROARchestra ticket buyers are welcome to venture to the Oasis Field for the concert or enjoy the collection of animals until 8 p.m. At 8 p.m., all ticket buyers must make their way to the Oasis Field for the concert.

How much are tickets?
Adults are $30. Children ages 3–11 are $15 and children under 2 are free.

May I get a refund or exchange my ticket for another date if something comes up?
Sorry, we cannot exchange or refund tickets for this event.
Can I go to the Zoo in the afternoon and stay for the concert?
General admission must be purchased separately. ROARchestra is a special, ticketed event in partnership with the Louisville Orchestra. All daytime guests must leave the Zoo by 6 p.m. The Zoo will then re-open for ROARchestra ticket buyers at 7 p.m.
ROARchestra is sold out. Can I buy tickets at the Zoo ticket windows on the day of the event?
Due to limited capacity, all tickets must be purchased online in advance.
Do I need to print my tickets if I purchase online?
Not necessarily. Some phones (for example, those with cracked or broken screens), and saved PDF versions of the tickets present scanning challenges. Please do not screen capture your tickets as they may not scan.
I purchased a ticket online, but I did not receive a confirmation email/ticket. What do I do?
An email confirming your purchase should arrive within 15 minutes of payment. Please check your junk/spam folders for an email from do_not_reply@louisvillezoo.org. If you entered an invalid or misspelled email during your purchase, the payment will appear on your credit card, but your tickets will not be delivered. Please email zootickets@louisvilleky.gov with the name the tickets were purchased under, the correct email address, and the last 4 digits of the credit card used to make the purchase. We will resend your tickets via email.
Is there a limit to the number of tickets I can purchase?
Up to 20 tickets can be purchased in a single transaction.
Is parking included?
Parking is included in the ticket price. There will be no additional charge for parking.

Is there off-site parking or a Zoo shuttle?
There is NO off-site parking or Zoo shuttle for this event. Be sure not to park in the parking lots of neighboring businesses or you may be towed.
What rides and attractions are open during ROARchestra?
Zoo rides and attractions will not be open during ROARchestra.
Are strollers and wheelchairs available for rental?
Yes, the Louisville Zoo rents strollers, wagons and wheelchairs (limited numbers) from the front plaza. Motorized wheelchairs are available in a limited number during ROARchestra, but only if reserved in advance. For more information and prices, click here.
Accessibility
The Louisville Zoo will provide a tram to take people to the Oasis Field and take them back to the front of the Zoo after the concert. Note: due to capacity issues, there is expected to be a line. Is smoking permitted?
No. For the safety of our guests, smoking (including e-cigarettes) is prohibited anywhere on Zoo grounds during this after-hours event.
Is this event safe for guests with sensory needs?
Guests with sensory needs should be aware that this event is expected to sell over 2,000 guest tickets. There will be bright lights, loud music and a large crowd at this event.
