What name best describes this little tiger?

Satu:  Means “one” in Indonesian.  Even one cub can make a difference. With less than 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild, every single cub is important for the population of this critically endangered species.

Saya Sambal:  In honor of his dad, “Kami Sambal”, who passed away on August 20, 2024.  The name Kami' Sambal meant “we are spicy sauce” in Indonesian, and was a reference to the fact that tigers are not domesticated, and remain wild animals, yet they are heavily trafficked for the pet trade, leading to animal welfare, safety, and conservation issues. “Saya Sambal” means “I am spicy sauce”.

Kaji:  A combination of the names of his parents “Kami” and “Jingga” This means that the legacy of both tigers will live on through this cub as well as continuing to contribute to the conservation and sustainability of Sumatran tigers for future generations.
