What is Planet Savers?

Welcome to the Louisville Zoo’s Planet Savers program, presented by Ford Motor Company! Planet Savers is a community-based program that helps inspire individuals or groups of schoolmates, friends, colleagues, family members, residents and more, to tackle issues that face our planet regarding climate change, conservation, pollution, or other manmade ecological issues. The goal of Planet Savers is to help you identify an issue you are passionate about so you can work to help solve that issue through community service, action and education.

What do Planet Savers do?

Planet Savers find and work toward solving issues that relate to conservation, climate change, pollution, ecology, and anything else that could help save our planet! To become a Planet Saver, the first step is to register. After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation letter that includes a link and password to access a library of online resources to help you begin your journey!

How do you become a Planet Saver?

Anyone can be a Planet Saver! To start, fill out the Planet Savers Registration Form. If you are starting a Planet Savers club or group, you will need one primary point of contact, age 18+, to receive communications from the Zoo. This point of contact will receive the welcome kit and access information for the Planet Savers online resources, which will be issued within 3 weeks of your registration.

What do I get for being a Planet Savers participant?

Planet Savers gain access to an exclusive library of online resources and an invitation to three (3) Planet Savers program days at the Zoo in 2023. These days include special conservation education activities and information all Zoo guests can use to support the Earth and all that call it home! Activities will be FREE with paid Zoo admission, courtesy of Ford Motor Company.

If you are a nonprofit organization, school, family or individual interested in learning more about discounted admission opportunities to visit the Zoo and participate in Planet Savers days, please take the eligibility quiz below. Staff will review eligibility requests and will notify you directly if you are a recipient of an admission scholarship. Completing the eligibility quiz below does not guarantee an admission scholarship.

Registered Planet Savers can go to the exclusive Planet Savers Members pages! These pages are password protected and are not available to the general public.
