Louisville Zoo Celebrates Armed Forces Day with Free Admission for Active Military and Their Dependents

Louisville Zoo will celebrate Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 15, 2021 and honor those serving our country in military service with FREE general admission for active military and their dependents. Armed Forces Day at the Zoo is presented by T-Mobile.

Those wishing to participate must simply have proof of military service including but not limited to: U.S Uniformed Services ID Card, U.S. Uniformed Services Retired ID Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans organization card (i.e., American Legion, VFW), photograph in uniform, wearing uniform, DD214 and citation or commendation — and present it at the Zoo’s admission windows.

Sponsor T-Mobile will be on Zoo grounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with giveaways and information about their latest offer for military.

In addition, on this day, active, retired military and their dependents (with a military identification card) will receive 10% off gift shop purchases (certain exceptions may apply) and 50% off food and drink concessions.

Active military receive free admission year-round at the Zoo. Active military dependents and retired military receive 10% off admission year-round. Military personnel are encouraged to check with the Leisure Travel offices at their bases in advance of their visit for other available discounts.

Louisville Zoo hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (enjoy until 6 p.m.) through September.
