The Louisville Zoo’s Kroger Wild Winter Days kicks off Nov. 1, 2020 through Feb. 28, 2021 with winter dynamic pricing and a Dare to Care food drive.

The Zoo is proud to team up with Kroger and Dare to Care again. With this year’s pandemic, the food drive is all the more important and the need is even greater for those struggling families in our community. Guests who bring at least one canned food item per person on their next visit to the Zoo (from Nov. 1, 2020 to Feb. 28, 2021) to benefit Dare to Care will receive a special code voucher for $2 off a future visit for adult or child’s general admission that will be valid March 21, 2021 to October 31, 2021.

To date, the Zoo has collected nearly 25,000 pounds of food thanks to the generosity of its guests. That is the weight of two African elephants like Mikki.

The offer is not valid for special fee-based programs, for pre-paid groups, field trips or with other discounts.

Some of Dare to Care Food Bank’s most needed items are canned meats, which includes tuna, canned fruit, beans, peanut butter, soup, rice, cereal, fruit juice, pasta and canned vegetables. Please avoid glass containers. More details are available at www.louisvillezoo.org/wildwinterdays.
