To honor those who are serving and who have served our country in military service, the Louisville Zoo is offering active and retired military and their dependents FREE general admission on Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021. Those wishing to participate must simply have proof of military service (including but not limited to: U.S Uniformed Services ID Card, U.S. Uniformed Services Retired ID Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans organization card (i.e., American Legion, VFW), photograph of yourself in…

Qannik’s 11th Birthday Celebration

Join us on Saturday, Jan. 22 for a very special celebration. Come sing “Happy Birthday” as we celebrate Qannik’s 11th year at 11 a.m. in Glacier Run with fun enrichment activities. Qannik was rescued from the wild after being found on Alaska’s North Slope in 2011, separated from her mother and sibling. She is a great ambassador for her species and arctic conservation. Her exact birth date is unknown but officials from the USFWS assigned Jan. 10 as her birthday.…
