Find inspiration in nature as you stretch and strike a pose with our giraffe herd looking on. These gentle giants will soothe your mind and help you find inner peace after a long day.

Join us for yoga in the wild! We’re partnering with Flex Appeal to continue special Wild Workouts at your Zoo this year. We will be offering five unique outdoor yoga classes after the Zoo closes, so you can stretch in some of your favorite exhibit spaces.

For beginners and seasoned practitioners alike, these yoga classes are designed to help you increase flexibility, strengthen muscles, and improve overall health and recovery. Closed-toed shoes are strongly encouraged. Guests are also encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle that can be used at the bottle refill stations around the Zoo.

Classes are $25 each, plus a processing fee, and are available online only. All fitness levels and abilities are welcome. Tickets must be purchased online prior to the workout in order to attend.

The front gate opens at 6:00 p.m. Classes begin at 6:30 p.m.

Throo the Zoo 5K Run/Walk 2026

May 9, 2026 @ 8:00 am

Race on over for the WILDEST 5K in Louisville! This unique course doesn’t just go around the Zoo but takes you on a safari directly “throo” the Zoo! Participants receive a t-shirt, finishers medal, post-race refreshments, PLUS a ticket to visit the Zoo at a much slower pace!

Wild Workout: Yoga (Flamingos)

Join the flamboyance during this low-impact, muscle strengthening workout. Focus on controlled movements as flamingos showcase the art of poise and balance nearby.

Wild Workout: Pilates (Red Panda)

Admire and imitate the graceful balance of our red pandas as you stretch and unwind in front of this forested exhibit space.

Wild Workout: Yoga (Glacier Run)

Join us in the arctic-inspired town of Glacier Run where you may see a grizzly or polar bear wandering about. It doesn’t matter if you can BEARly touch your toes, this workout is perfect for all fitness levels.
