GLOW WILD! Back by popular demand, Wild Lights is returning to illuminate the Louisville Zoo!
See the Zoo in a whole new light as you enjoy one of the largest lantern festivals in the nation featuring thousands of handcrafted silk-covered lanterns aglow with more than 50,000 LED light bulbs.
Embark on a journey to the far east as you stroll alongside dramatic cultural displays celebrating the rich heritage and craftsmanship of lantern artisans. Dramatic archways illuminate the way on a magical journey past colorful peacocks, slithering serpents, and a beautiful African savanna. Majestic butterflies beckon you into a world of larger-than-life insects and animals from all around the world. Kids (or kids at heart) can become part of the magic while swaying on our glowing moonlight swings or stepping inside a gigantic kaleidoscope for some whirling, twirling fun. The wonder of Wild Lights is sure to create glowing smiles and bright memories for guests of all ages.

Advance tickets are required and are valid for the date and time listed on the ticket only. Be sure to apply the $6 parking fee to your order, otherwise you will be charged at the Zoo’s admission windows.

Wild Lights is a rain or shine event. No refunds, rain checks or exchanges are available for this important fundraiser. When purchasing tickets online, make sure your email is correct to receive your tickets. Some lanterns feature flashing lights that may cause seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy.

Captivating performances return nightly at the MetaZoo stage. Enjoy nightly shows featuring traditional Chinese performances including the amazing lightning-fast mask changes of Sichuan Opera, traditional Chinese folk dances, and unforgettable acrobatic acts like unicycle balancing, hula hoop, and Diabolo or “Kongzhu” (Chinese yo-yo).
