Veterans Day 2025

In appreciation of Veterans Day the Louisville Zoo wishes to provide active, retired and discharged service members as well as those in their immediate household the opportunity to enjoy the Zoo at no cost on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
To gain access to the Zoo, our service members just need proof of service (including but not limited to: U.S. Uniformed Services ID Card, U.S. Uniformed Services Retired ID Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans organization card (i.e., American Legion, VFW), photograph in uniform, wearing a uniform, DD214 and citation or commendation) and present it at the Zoo’s admission windows on November 11, 2025.

Along with free admission, military personnel and their families can enjoy exclusive discounts on Veterans Day:
- 10% off purchases at the Zoo gift shop
- 50% off food and drink at Zoo concessions.
“We are grateful to all military veterans for their service,” said Louisville Zoo Director Dan Maloney. “We look forward to welcoming you and your families to the Zoo on this special day of recognition and appreciation.”
Kroger’s partnership with the Louisville Zoo extends its commitment to honoring military veterans. “Kroger is honored to support veterans through this collaboration with the Louisville Zoo,” said Kroger spokesperson Jessica Sharp. “It’s our way of expressing gratitude to those who have served our country.”
Year-Round Support!
Active service members receive free admission to the Zoo year-round, and their dependents receive 10 percent off general admission when accompanied by active service personnel with a valid ID. Military guests are encouraged to check with the leisure travel offices at their bases in advance of their visit for other available discounts.
