Santa is on summer vacation and he’s making a stop at your Zoo!

Join us on July 23 – 24 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. for Santa’s Summer Safari Weekend with winter-themed fun including LIVE ice sculpture demonstrations, holiday enrichment for the animals and games for kids. Plus, meet Santa himself!

• Cool off with water-based games. Do you want to build a snow man? Participate in our special “build a snowman” obstacle course, “elf fishin’ hole” activity and more!
• Take a break in between the games and head over to our craft station. Build a pipe cleaner palm tree, tissue paper suncatcher and more. Crafts while supplies last.
• Santa will be on site at the Zoo and available for pictures from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (with periodic breaks, of course — it is his vacation!) Remind Santa how good you’ve been so far this year!
• There’s more frosty fun with LIVE ice sculpting at Noon on both days with Kentucky sculptor Matt Stoddart. A few of the sculptures will be given to animals for refreshing, icy enrichment.
