Orangutan Caring Week began as Orangutan Awareness Week but it soon became apparent that just being aware was not enough. We need to care enough to be moved to  save these incredible red-haired apes and their rainforest homes!

Swing by the Zoo for Orangutan fun and caring on Sunday, Nov. 13. We’re celebrating the kickoff of Orangutan Caring Week and orangutan Segundo’s 35th birthday! Stop by the Islands Pavillion at 2:30 p.m. Sunday to enjoy a keeper talk, learn more about orangutans and see Segundo enjoy special birthday enrichment. Don’t forget to wish him a Happy Birthday!
