Fly on over! Join us at the Zoo on Saturday, Sept. 3 as we celebrate International Vulture Awareness Day! These interesting birds are vital to the health of our planet and need our help as 70% are considered threatened, endangered, or critically endangered.

Come learn about them at the Zoo! Don’t miss our black vulture flying demonstration at 10 a.m. on the front plaza. Plus, see a Ruppell’s Griffon Vulture Keeper Talk with Food Enrichment at 1:30 p.m. near the bongo exhibit. Docents will also be available from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. nearby with fun vulture info and artifacts. Don’t forget to say hello to our friends from AAZK Louisville!
