Conservation and Conversations: Biomes

December 22, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

SPECIAL: FREE VIRTUAL EVENT FOR NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER!

Sponsored by Ford Motor Company

Connect with the Zoo  as we critically explore a variety of environmental and conservation issues. Each month, participants will receive a discussion guide (including book, film, and podcast recommendations!) and access to a 60-minute live virtual discussion with Zoo educators. Join in on the discussion as we engage community members of all ages about conservation topics that are affecting the way we live in Louisville and how people live around the globe. Some sessions will feature guest speakers. View previous discussion guides here

Dec. 22: Biomes
Free for all Zoo fans thanks to Ford Motor Company!
Biomes are communities of flora and fauna (plants and animals) adapted to a specific climate. They are usually divided into five categories: aquatic, grassland, forest, desert and tundra, but can be split into smaller subcategories like fresh or salt water, temperate forest or taiga. In our December conservation conversation, we will choose a biome to explore in detail, including discussion about the importance of biodiversity in successful ecosystems.

Cost: free for all Zoo fans thanks to Ford Motor Company! Just register below to attend.

There is no obligation to attend or to speak during the discussion and your email will only be used to send you information about the event.
