Brachiosaurus (BRACK-ee-oh-SORE-us) Plant-eater 65 feet long, 35 feet high Western North America, East Africa Late Jurassic, 145 million years ago Brachiosaurus was the tallest animal that ever lived. It fed off leaves from high in the tree canopy and its fossil remains have been found in both East Africa and Western America. As you know, there were no buildings 145 million years ago. But if there had been, a Brachiosaurus could have looked in a fourth-floor window!
