The Louisville Zoo celebrates 41 years of merry — not scary — fun this October with its ever-popular annual Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo presented by Meijer. Tickets go on sale to the general public September 6 at 10 a.m. for the beloved annual event that takes place October 1 – 2; 6 – 9; 13 – 16; 20 – 23; 27 – 30 (Thursday – Sunday nights, October 1 – 30). Following the devastating tornadoes in Western, KY on December 10, 2021, the Louisville Zoo offered families a way to donate to help animal organizations that were impacted. Thanks to the generosity of Louisville Zoo guests and fans, the Zoo is happy to announce that $2,550 each was sent to the Kentucky Humane Society shelters in Marion and Caldwell counties earlier this spring. A new seasonal attraction is flying into the Zoo! “IncrediBUGS,” presented by Great Clips, opens June 25 and runs through September 18, 2022. The exhibit, free with Zoo admission or membership, features 18 enormous animatronic bugs and insects, bringing into epic proportions the fascinating world of these small intricate creatures.
