Louisville Zoo partners with Dare to Care for special
$5 admission weekdays October-November
The Louisville Zoo is teaming up with
Dare to Care Food Bank offering special $5 Zoo admission on
weekdays in October and November if visitors participate in a
canned food drive.
To receive the discount on regular
weekday admission, visitors must bring one canned good per
person and present it at the Zoo’s ticket window Monday-Friday
October through November 2009. The offer is valid for regular
daytime admission and not the Zoo’s Halloween Party.
Through this community partnership,
visitors have the opportunity to support two important
non-profit organizations at once.
Some of Dare to Care Food Bank’s most
needed items are canned meats, which includes tuna, beef stew
and ravioli as well as canned vegetables and fruits, which
includes corn, green beans, peaches and pineapple.
The Zoo is open daily year round,
September - February from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (exit by 5 p.m.). The
Zoo is closed on Thanksgiving.
