First and Only 3-D/4-D Ride Theater

Featuring SpongeBob SquarePants

LOUISVILLE – The Louisville Zoo introduces the first and only 4-D Ride Theater in Kentucky, which will be opening to visitors on Saturday, July 25th. This unique and family-friendly attraction—featuring SpongeBob SquarePants --includes 3-D projection, surround-sound audio and exciting special effects. The 4-D attraction fully immerses the audience with moving seats, bubbles, wind, water squirts, leg ticklers, and more.

Louisville Zoo Director, John Walczak says, “The SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D Ride is a wonderful addition to the Louisville Zoo. Our focus is to engage visitors when they visit the Zoo, whether they are feeding a giraffe, watching an animal training demonstration, taking a class or experiencing our 4-D Ride Theater.”

Visitors can join SpongeBob SquarePants as he rides a bubble bike in pursuit of a runaway pickle required to serve the perfect Krabby Patty hamburger! Get ready for a hilarious and zany adventure as SpongeBob weaves through traffic in Bikini Bottom and chases a robotic double of his best friend Patrick through Rock Bottom.

Open year round*, the SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D Ride has a special ticket price of $4.00 for Louisville Zoo Members and $5.00 for visitors. Tickets may be purchased at the 4-D Ride location or at the front ticket windows along with your Zoo admission. The 4-D Ride Theater is located across from the Addax yard and adjacent to the Etscorn Garden. It is open daily from 10:30 a.m. until 30 minutes before closing.
