Eggstravaganza Weekend

Saturday, April 19 and
Sunday, 20, 2014
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

This is one EGGciting weekend. The Louisville Zoo is hosting an egg hunt for children ages 10 and under. This event is FREE with Zoo admission. Space for egg hunts is limited and open on a first-come, first-served basis. As part of the Zoo’s conservation mission, families must bring their own egg hunt basket or reusable bag. For the health and wellbeing of Zoo animals, candy will not be placed inside the eggs. Participants will turn in the collected eggs and receive a treat bag from the prize booth at the end of each egg hunt. Every treat bag is equal no matter the quantity of eggs collected.

Each egg hunt features two golden eggs. A special treat will be awarded to the participants who are lucky enough to find these eggs.

Enjoy additional games throughout the day like bunny ring toss, egg on a spoon game and spin-a-prize. Zoo docents will also have animals and bio-facts for a hands on experience.

An educational scavenger hunt is available at the front gate. Take a journey around the Zoo to learn about some of our eggcellent egg laying animals.

Don’t miss a meet and greet opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Get your photo in the ZooVision building from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
